Service Description

I've been practicing the art of guitar finish repairs for over 8 years, and I've learned a thing or two about nitrocellulose, polyurethane, shellac and cyanoacrylate. The goal of a proper finish repair is not only to create a unique repair that improves the look of a piece aesthetically, but also to make sure that finish lasts as long as you do! This means choosing new finish materials carefully based on your specific instrument, and knowing how each layer of finish will react with the ones above and below it. This knowledge and years of practice can make those dings and scratches look better than you thought possible! All finish repair work will be billed at the hourly shop rate of $125.00 per hour.
